# Toolports QuickBooks Online Product page (humans): https://toolports.com/ports/qbo MCP URL (agents): https://my.toolports.com/mcp ## Connect (one address for every app) MCP URL (agents): https://my.toolports.com/mcp 1. The owner creates a Toolports account and connects each app (QuickBooks Online, Jobber) in the dashboard. The agent does not do the app's own sign-in. 2. Add https://my.toolports.com/mcp to the agent as a remote MCP server and sign in with Toolports (OAuth). The owner picks which companies the agent may use on the consent screen. 3. Agents that cannot sign in send a key instead: header Authorization: Bearer (tp_live_… from the dashboard, Agents & Keys). Save it once as TOOLPORTS_API_KEY. 4. After the owner changes this agent's Access, permissions or tool switches in Toolports, refresh the Toolports tool list (no new chat needed). Every company tool takes connection, the Agent ID of the company or account to use (for example acme). Call toolports_connections to list the Agent IDs this agent may use, by app. Each result starts with a line naming the app and company it came from. Agents reach only the apps and companies you allow. Writes: Each sign-in and key is Read and write or Read only. You set this in your Toolports account under Agents & Keys. Read and write still follows each connection's write settings, which start off. High-risk writes ask for confirmation and name the app and company first. A write tool is listed only for companies whose settings allow it. When a write returns confirm_required, show the user its summary (app, company and change) and call again with confirmToken only after they approve. A read_only or writes_disabled error means the owner has not allowed that change; ask them to update it in Toolports, not for a new key. ## Keys One Toolports key works on my.toolports.com. If you already have a Toolports key, reuse it and do not ask the user again. The user cannot view a key after creating it. Save it as TOOLPORTS_API_KEY, never under a name for one app. A 403 no_connection means the key is fine but that app is not connected yet; ask the user to connect it, not for a new key. ## Policy - Reads by default. - Writes gated until the owner enables them. High-risk writes need a confirm token. - Early access: $29/mo for your first connection, $10/mo for each additional connection, after a 14-day free trial, no card. ## Links - https://toolports.com/ports/qbo - https://my.toolports.com/mcp - https://toolports.com/docs - https://toolports.com/llms.txt
